When Your Face Pops Up, People Remember!
Here’s an idea that 99% of people, in 99% of business out there will most likely disregard, but that 1% of you that Are in an industry where it’d be acceptable will love! What would you say if I said you could have a business card that featured a Pop-Up photo of yourself that can hang off the edge of a table or desk? Yes, it’s true, and people are doing it and seeing great results.
Check out these great business cards from Reactor. Their cards feature exactly what we said, black and white photos of each member of the team that you can actually pop-out and stand up while placing the card itself hanging over the ledge. This leads to a three-dimensional design that makes the card look extremely impressive and amazingly creative. Not to mention, this is not an effect that requires a great deal of effort or work. You could either have the cards pre-cut or perforated in order to make the cutout easier, or you could just do it yourself on regular business cards to help budget it properly.
Nevertheless, it just goes to show how many different ways there are to achieve the very same goal: Getting your business card recognized, enjoyed and passed around by others. There are countless ways to go about it, this just happens to be one of them. If it doesn’t fit into your business style or plan, don’t worry, there are many, many other ways of going about this!
Head over to OvernightPrints.com and start designing your own business cards today, keep all these ideas in mind and see how brilliant a design you can cook up!

Why to Use More than One Business Card
I’ve mentioned several types of business cards before, several reasons for using different cards, and different types of information that warrant having a separate card.
So let’s come up with a list of why it might be a good idea for you to have and use more than one business card:
1.) To test different card designs;
2.) Because you have more than one business;
3.) Because you have different roles in that business; (there may be strategic reasons for you to be the “Marketing Director” on one card and the “CEO” on another.)
4.) To promote different aspects of the business; (maybe one card promotes your plumbing service, another your heating and air conditioning service.)
5.) To reach different markets, different languages;
6.) To match the unique expectations/needs of a customer (a prospect and a client have differing concerns);
7.) To provide offers and discounts, perhaps in conjunction with a tradeshow or other marketing event;
8.) Because you have different locations;
9.) To highlight special products or affiliations, such as when you add a new product line to your business;
10.) To appeal to different ages, occupations or demographic groups.
Having more than one business card may seem like overkill, and you may be hesitate to spend the money, but this can be remarkably effective. And when you can get 1,000 professional business cards for $39.95 (at OvernightPrints.com), it’s remarkably inexpensive, too.

Monday Business Card Tip: Change The Shape!
Hello and welcome back to the world of the working. Today we’re gonna give you a pretty simple tip when it comes to the design and implementation of your business card, there are millions of ways you can tweak your card to help it stand out, and keep standing out the longer it’s passed around. We’ve mentioned color, font, layout time and time again, but one thing we haven’t mentioned is Shape. That’s right, sometimes, just changing the Shape of your business card from the traditional rectangle can do Wonders for your business card and its success.
One business card we just stumbled on today took that tip and ran with it and, in our humble opinions, is going to see great success with it. The card is a simple square with a very simple color scheme and offers up the website, email and phone number along with the person’s name. A simple blue line alternates between the top and the bottom of the card, and a simple blue asterisk finishes the card off. When all is said and done, however, it’s the square design that really makes this memorable.
So, when you start the trek towards designing YOUR business card, think about altering the shape of it. You don’t have to stick with the simple rectangle if you don’t wish. In fact, OvernightPrints.com offers rounded corners on their business cards that can make your card look completely different and stand way out from the crowd. In fact, it’s what I personally use.
Design away, and when you’re done send us a picture! We’ll feature it on the blog!

The Pop Up Art Business Card: Art on a Stand
It’s Friday, and I’m sure each and every single one of you are itching to get out and enjoy the last warm gasps of Summer before Autumn officially makes its appearance. Saying that, we won’t keep you long this fine Friday, but instead just inspire you with a beautiful and creative business card we found!
The very first thing you notice when looking at the business card is the absolutely stunning art work on the top half of the card. The art alone is enough to make anyone stop and take some serious notice of this card, but glancing down is yet another reason to be both impressed and interested. You see, this business card also has a built in perforated method for turning a regular old business card into a pop-up display! While the information of the company and person is clearly printed on the back, I’m fairly sure all eyes will be firmly locked on the art on the front.
Now, I’m not suggesting that you have to make a business card that has pre-perforated lines that allow for it to be transformed into a pop up art display, but it is a reminder that you can make some stunningly beautiful business cards simply by making sure that your design is beautiful and representative of who you are and what your company stands for. What makes a business card go from ordinary to Extraordinary is when the design and the company’s persona meet in the middle and the card does two things at once. You can do this.
Something to think about next time you’re designing your business cards. Head over to OvernightPrints.com now, see what you can come up with!

Your Card Can Pop Up Anywhere
The more you study business cards, the more you come across interesting cards in the oddest locations – like in the glove compartment of a rental car! It’s like anything else, I guess – you notice the things that interest you. And I notice business cards.
And I’ve learned that a business card can travel a long way. You never know where your card will wind up or who it will be passed on to – and so you should design it accordingly.
Never assume that a prospect will know (or remember) what you do. Make sure it’s very clear on your business card. If someone can’t identify your line of business by your company name, make sure your tagline or list of services makes that clear.
And don’t assume your business card will stay in your home town, either! If someone were to find your card on an airplane seat, or lying unattended on a table at a convention, would they be able to contact you? It’s amazing how many people leave off such basic information as an area code for their phone number.
Certainly something to keep in mind before ordering YOUR next set of business cards, right? Having complete contact information and an easy-to-understand business card is always good policy!

Business Card Tip: Get Their Attention Fast!
Here’s a little business card tip for you that might seem like a no-brainer, but it very often goes on forgotten or overlooked. Tip: Get their attention first, and get it fast! That’s right, if you can snag the attention of a potential client or customer right off the bat, quickly and lock it in, you are much more likely to stay fresh in their mind for a lot longer. Not only that, if you do snag their attention right away, they are also much more likely to share not only your business card with others, but the experience of meeting you as well.
So, how can you do that? The design of your card of course. If you have an eye-catching business card, the chances of them remembering it, being impressed by it and showing it to others goes way, way up. Case in point, the business card we stumbled on today. What gets Everyone’s attention? Money. Yes, Money. The cards apparently come in all denominations from $1 to $100, but my advice, if you’re going to go for it, go for the big guns and make yours the $100. Imagine the look on their faces when you hand them a card that’s folded in half and looks just like a crisp $100 bill with Your information on the inside? Genius, right?
Granted, this is not the card you probably want to make as your everyday business card, but nevertheless if you need a card that is going to jump out and snag the attention of whoever you give it to, you can’t really go wrong by giving someone $100, now can you? The tip is still true, get their attention fast and you are much more likely to keep it. Think about that while you’re designing your next batch of business cards!

A Business Card & A Souvenir You Can Keep!
It’s Friday!! Finally! That said, we have a business card that might just be the perfect end to the week this fine Friday, as it’s a card that gives you not only the card packed with information on a company, but also a little souvenir you can keep. The card that keeps on giving!
The business that owns these amazing business cards is called the Polka Dot Cottage and it looks like they are a company that specializes in arts, crafts, clothing, books and just about everything else in that neck of the woods. So, with their business card, rather than just give you the card, they also have a different button on each and every single card. That means, the business card You get, is going to be different than every single other business card given to every single other person. Talk about making your clients, both potential and current, feel special!
Think about your business…chances are if you’re a law-firm, doctor or a similar professional field this style of business card wouldn’t work out very good for you, but if you’re in the more artistic side of career fields, this might be perfect! A photographer could include a tiny negative of film, a tailoring company could print their business cards with mini-sewing kits, etc. The sky is the limit for a little souvenir you could include with your business cards to help you stay fresh in the minds of each and every person you hand them out to.
Remember, sometimes it is the littlest “extra” that goes the longest distance with people you are in business with. Add a souvenir, gain a lot more in return. Try it!
